South Windsor Hosting Drive-Up Drug Take Back Day

The drive-up event will accept prescription, over-the-counter and non-prescription medications.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor residents will have a chance to safely get rid of unused medications and household sharps during National Drug Take Back Day next weekend.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Windsor Police Station, 151 Sand Hill Road.

Organizers said all medications will be accepted, including prescription, non-prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Household syringes and sharps will also be accepted free of charge, though no commercial disposal will be allowed.

The event is set up as a drive-up drop-off.
