Hockey Players Invited To South Windsor Tryouts

Players from the Mite through Bantam levels will take the ice this month.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The South Windsor Knights youth hockey program has released its tryout schedule for the 2026-2027 season, with sessions planned throughout March for several age divisions.

Tryouts will be held for players ranging from 8U Mites through 14U Bantams. Registration is required in advance through the organization’s website.

The schedule includes multiple evaluation sessions for most divisions, with potential callback skates if needed.

The tryout dates and times are as follows.

8U Mites (birth years 2018–2020)
Tryouts for the Mites division are scheduled for Monday, March 9 at 5:20 p.m. and Tuesday, March 10 at 5:40 p.m. The registration fee for this level is $100.

10U Squirts (birth years 2016–2017)
Squirt tryouts will take place Monday, March 23 at 5:20 p.m., Tuesday, March 24 at 5:40 p.m., and Wednesday, March 25 at 5:20 p.m. A callback session may be held if needed. The registration fee is $125.

12U Peewees (birth years 2014–2015)
Peewee tryouts are scheduled for Monday, March 23 at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 24 at 6:50 p.m., and Thursday, March 26 at 5:20 p.m., with a possible callback skate if necessary. Registration costs $125.

14U Bantams (birth years 2012–2013)
Bantam players will skate Wednesday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 28 at 9:20 a.m., with the final session designated as a potential callback if needed. The registration fee is $125.

Goalie Tryout
A dedicated goalie evaluation session for players born between 2012 and 2017 will be held Monday, March 16 at 5:20 p.m. Organizers note that this skate is in addition to each goalie’s age-level tryout.

Goalies at the Peewee and Bantam levels are asked to dress for all scheduled sessions. Full-time goalies at the Squirt level will also dress for every evaluation skate.
