South Windsor Man Arrested on Drug Charges

A South Windsor man faces drug charges following a motor vehicle stop over the weekend.

John Coughlin, 19, was pulled over for a violation on Buckland Road at about 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.

During the roadside interview the officer learned the operator was in possession of marijuana, according to police.

Following a search of the vehicle, officers arrested Coughlin.

Coughlin, of 83 Windy Hill Drive in South Windsor, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to obey control signal.

Coughlin was later released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on July 2.
