South Windsor Nursing Home Fined
The nursing home was cited in connection to a 10-day delay for a resident with two broken legs to be seen by an orthopedist.

Paradigm Healthcare Center of South Windsor was one of five nursing homes recently fined by the state Department of Public Health.
Kate Farrish of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports Paradigm was fined $560 on Sept. 24 for an incident in June in which there was a 10-day delay for a resident with two broken legs to be seen by an orthopedist.
The resident broke the legs during a hospital stay and then returned to Paradigm, according to Farrish who also reports a nurse didn’t notify the attending physician about the delay in getting the resident an orthopedic appointment.
