
Edith T.M. Johnson, 99, of South Windsor, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 12, 2016. She was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Helge R. Johnson.
Born in Storlinge Oland, Sweden on March 9, 1917, she was the daughter of Emil and Frieda (Johansson) Olsson. Edith lived a life of service to her faith, family, and friends, as all were welcome in her home and at her table. She was a proud member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hartford, Vasa Order of America Norden Lodge #1 and the Svea Social Club.
She leaves behind her three children, Bertil Johnson and wife Marsha, Erling Johnson and Christine, and Linda Cutler and husband Bruce. She also leaves 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, her nephew Arnold Hanson with whom she resided, and her niece Shirley Leich and her children, as well as many relatives and friends in Sweden and the U.S., especially Patty. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, at 10:30am at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
