
Helen (Dzen) Krutul, 92, lifelong resident of South Windsor and beloved wife of the late Anthony Krutul, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, after a brief illness.
Helen was born on April 6, 1925 in South Windsor, daughter of the late William and Anastasia (Demetri) Dzen. Helen was married to the love of her life, Anthony Krutul on October 26, 1970. She worked in Customer Service for The Travelers Insurance Co. for over 40 years.
Helen was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church in South Windsor. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Anthony, including east coast vacations, fine dining, trips to the casino and hosting wonderful holiday gatherings at her home. Helen was a spectacular cook and baker. A kind, caring and loving woman, she will be greatly missed.

She leaves her sister-in-law, Julia K. Dzen, several nieces and nephews, dear friends, and her loving caregiver Lydia. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, Anthony, and Frank Dzen and sisters, Mary Delmore and Genevieve Segda.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, June 10, 2017, 9 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Broad Brook. Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2017, from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
