South Windsor Obituary: Hilda Ellis, 94

Hilda Harrison Ellis, 94, of South Windsor, formerly a resident of Columbia for 50 years, died Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Manchester.

She was born March 1, 1924 in Providence, RI, the daughter of William and Edna Ward Harrison. Prior to her retirement she was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Lyman Memorial High School in Lebanon for 33 years.

She is survived by a son, Howard William Ellis; daughter-in-law, Heidi Jean Chapman Ellis; granddaughter, Casey Jean Ellis; and grandson, Connor John Ellis. She is also survived by her loving sister-in-law, Linda Austin Harrison; niece, Zoe Harrison Moore and family; and nephew, Ward Austin Harrison and family. She is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Ralph James Ellis; brother, John Ward Harrison; and grandson, Corey James Ellis.

She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed for her wit, friendship, and perseverance.
