
Houng Vilaysane, 87, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Pathoumma Vilaysane, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his home.
Born in Laos to the late Thitvanhdee and Thongdang Vilaysane, he came to the US in 1981 and resided in Hartford before living in Windsor, and finally settled in South Windsor over four years ago. Houng served as a police officer in Laos and worked in manufacturing here in the US. He was a member of the Wat Lao Lane Xang in Willington CT and enjoyed fishing, hunting, music and cars.
Besides his wife Pathoumma of South Windsor, he is survived by his sons, Khampheng Vilaysane, Sengkeo Vilaysane and his wife Hongthong Vilaysane, Sengkham Vilaysane, Sengphet Vilaysane, his daughters, Kesone Amoravet and her husband Jet Amoravet, Neegone Xie and her husband Thee Xie, Sisouphanh Vilaysane, Phayvanh Fonte and her husband Dominic Fonte, Khamthon Vilaysane, Sengchanh Vilaysom and her husband Houmphanh Vilaysom, Kiana Vilaysane, and Khamla Banavong and her husband Rick Banavong; his sister Heuamg Chanthavong; his 29 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, January 8 at the funeral home.
