South Windsor Obituary: Lorraine Comeau, 87

Condolences to her family and friends.

Lorraine (Gonyar) Comeau, 87, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Anthony Comeau died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 10, 2017.

Born in Orono Maine; Lorraine was the daughter of the late George and Ida (Doucette) Gonyar. She has resided in South Windsor for the past fifty-five years. Lorraine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother always placing family first. While she spent many hours volunteering in the community, she was most proud of the time she spent supporting MARC, Inc.

Lorraine leaves behind her children; Karen Malnick and her husband Jeff of Groton, Lynn Comeau of South Windsor, Brenda Bambara and her husband Gary of Hebron, Kevin Comeau and his wife Kathleen of Shelton, Kenneth Comeau and his wife Lisa of South Windsor, and Laura Speranza and her husband Kenneth of South Windsor. She also leaves behind her brother Philip Gonyar and his partner Carl Daiker of Waterville ME. Her grandchildren Lisa and her husband Pete, Kerry and her husband Kevin, Amanda, Anthony, Christopher, Matthew, Andrew, Nicole, Cameron, Katherine, Dominic and Marissa. Also her greatgrandchildren Taylor, Cameron, Hunter and Zackary. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Sharon Gonyar of Orono Maine. Lorraine was pre-deceased by her brother George Gonyar.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary Church 80 Hayes Rd. South Windsor on Saturday October 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor.
