Mabel Daisy Cooney, 96, of South Windsor, the wife of the late Joseph F. Cooney died Sunday February 18, 2018 at her home. Born in Rockville, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence Bowler.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Cooney and his wife Sally of South Windsor, Timothy Cooney of Vernon, Patrick Cooney and his wife Sharon of Florida, and Michael Cooney and his wife Barbara of Florida; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Margaret and Eleanor.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22nd at 11:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Church 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
