
Margaret F. Sherlock “Peggy”, 86, of South Windsor, beloved wife of Paul Sherlock, passed away peacefully on Sunday (April 8, 2018).
Margaret grew up in Hartford and met her husband at a dance. She worked as a typist for Travelers and Pratt & Whitney before leaving to raise her children and run the household where dust could never be found. She later worked for many years at Sage-Allen/Macy’s.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Robert Sherlock and a daughter, Carol Ann Heaney and her husband Ted Heaney, and two grandchildren, James and Kathryn Mary-Margaret Heaney, her devoted brother Daniel Fogarty who always looked after his sister and his wife Cecilia of Bolton; a sister-in-law, Clara Fogarty of East Hartford; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Fogarty; and sisters, Patricia Fogarty, LaReine Fogarty and Corrine Horton.

At the request of her family, a private Mass was celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church followed by burial at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor.
Those wishing may make memorial donations to Nutmeg Senior Rides, East Windsor, or the American Kidney Fund.
