
Raymond C. Hollister, Jr. 85, entered into eternal rest, on Monday April 24, 2017 in the comfort of his home.
Ray was born in Putnam, the son of the late Raymond C., Sr. and Edith (Baker) Hollister and had resided in South Windsor and East Windsor before moving to Enfield. Prior to retiring, Ray was employed as a truck driver for over sixty years. He served his country honorably with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Ray was an avid NY Yankees fan, he enjoyed golfing, and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-eight years Marilyn (Willette) Hollister. Ray also is survived by his son and daughter- in-law; Scott and Rebecca Hollister of Vernon, his daughter and son-in-law; Susie & Butch Sutton of McMinnville, OR, a daughter; Diane Hollister of Conyers GA, and a son; Matthew Hollister of Enfield. Ray leaves six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Ray is also survived by his sister; Mildred Bergeron of Wales MA, a brother; Donald Hollister of Hebron, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife; Patricia, his daughter; Rae-Lee Hollister and a sister; Phyllis Dumas.

Ray’s family will receive relatives and friends at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd Enfield on Friday April 28, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
