South Windsor Obituary: William Yonika, 71

William “Billy” A. Yonika, 71, of South Windsor died unexpectedly on Thursday December 21, 2017.

Billy was born in East Hartford, he was the son of the late John A. and Mary M. (Klimas) Yonika. He lived for most of his life in South Windsor. Billy was a New York Giants fan. He enjoyed NASCAR and was part owner of a race car that raced at the Stafford Springs Motor Speedway.

Billy leaves behind his brothers; John and his wife Margaret Yonika of Roxbury, CT, Donald and his wife Linda Yonika of Beaufort, South Carolina, and David and his wife Lisa of Fairfax, Virginia, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Billy’s family will receive friends at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home 419 Buckland Rd. South Windsor on Thursday December 28, 2017 from 9-11 AM with a funeral service to be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Hartford.
