South Windsor Officers Bike To D.C. For Fallen Police

Sgt. Joseph Futtner and Cpl. David Johnson will ride nearly 300 miles to honor fallen officers.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Two South Windsor police officers are once again taking on a grueling multi-day bicycle ride to honor fallen law enforcement officers and raise money for a national memorial fund.

The South Windsor Police Department said Sgt. Joseph Futtner and Cpl. David Johnson will participate in this year’s Police Unity Tour Ride, a four-day journey of nearly 300 miles from Florham, New Jersey, to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.

To take part, each officer must raise $2,500 for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
