South Windsor Police Charge Four With DUI

Four people were arrested on DUI charges in South Windsor over the weekend.

South Windsor Police arrested four people on DUI charges over the weekend.

Peter Astwood, 50, of 7 Daisy Lane in Ellington, was pulled over for a violation on Pleasant Valley Road at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.

Following a series of roadside sobriety tests, Astwood was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in proper lane. He was later released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 14.

Christopher Jahne, 37, of 96 Lewis Drive, South Windsor, was stopped for a violation on Buckland Road at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 and was arrested following a series of roadside sobriety tests, according to police.

Jahne was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in proper lane. Jahne was later released on a $500 non-surety bond. He scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 14.

Joshua Roy, 28, of 310 Strong Road, South Windsor, was stopped at about 1 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6 for a violation on Main Street.

Following a series of roadside sobriety tests, Roy was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana. Roy was later released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 14.

Heriberto Agosto, 32, of 17 Princeton Street, Manchester, was stopped at about 2 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, for a violation on Oakland Road and was arrested following a series of roadside sobriety tests.

Agosto was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was later released on a $500 non-surety bond. He is also scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 14.
