South Windsor Police Charge Man With Burglary, Larceny and Other Crimes

He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Manchester man was arrested Thursday by South Windsor police in connection with a July burglary in which jewelry was stolen.

Robert Wormstedt, 43, of 19 Evergreen Road, Manchester, was charged with four counts of violation of probation, three counts of second-degree failure to appear, third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.

Wormstedt was held on bonds totaling $100,000, and was arraigned Friday in Manchester Superior Court.

The burglary and larceny charges stem from a July 2016 investigation where it was determined Wormstedt had burglarized a relative’s home and stolen jewelry, Deputy Police Chief Scott Custer said.

He was also processed on numerous other warrants held by other police agencies, Custer said.

Wormstedt is due back in court Dec. 20, according to judicial records.
