South Windsor Police Charge Teen with Stealing Motor Scooter
The motor scooter was reported stolen out of Hartford.

South Windsor Police have charged a Windsor teen with stealing a motor scooter.
A South Windsor police officer stopped a motor scooter operator on Sullivan Avenue for a violation at about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
A check of the vehicles’ VIN found it had been reported stolen from Hartford, according to police.

Officers arrested the operator, Malik Garcia, 18, of 445 Pond Bridge, Windsor. He was charged with third-degree larceny and operating a motor cycle without eye protection.
He was later released on a $2,500 surety bond. Garcia is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 1.
