Police: Driver Did Donuts Leaving Cruise Night
Police said the charges stem from a May 4 incident near CT Valley Brewing.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Glastonbury man is facing charges after police said he did donuts in the middle of a South Windsor intersection while leaving a local event.
Abdelrahman D. Alsalman, 26, was arrested Tuesday, May 19, on an active arrest warrant, according to South Windsor police.
Police said the charges stem from a motor vehicle complaint reported May 4. Alsalman was leaving “Cruise Night” at CT Valley Brewing when he was seen on dash camera video doing donuts in the intersection of Sullivan Avenue and Troy Road, police said.

Police said Alsalman and his vehicle were identified, and officers later sought an arrest warrant.
Alsalman turned himself in at police headquarters, where he was processed and released on a $2,000 non-surety bond, according to police.

He was charged with reckless driving, failure to drive right and unsafe movement of a stopped vehicle, police said.
Alsalman is scheduled to appear June 8 in Manchester Superior Court.
