South Windsor Police: Man Punched, Choked and Threatened to Kill Woman During Domestic Dispute
The victim had an active protective order against the man.
South Windsor police arrested a town man for allegedly punching, choking and threatening to kill a woman during a domestic dispute.
Police officers responded to an active physical dispute at a Dart Hill Road home last Thursday (April 9) and learned that Timothy McCarthy, 40, had repeatedly punched and choked a woman in the home and told her that he was going to kill her.
Police said the victim had an active protective order that required McCarthy have no contact with her.

McCarthy, of 79 Dart Hill Rd., was uncooperative with officers at headquarters and refused to cooperate with the booking process, according to police.
McCarthy was arrested on charges of criminal violation of a protective order, breach of peace, threatening, second-degree strangulation and failure to submit to fingerprinting. He was held on a $15,000 bond and was presented at Manchester Superior Court on April 10.
