South Windsor Receives Votes in State Field Hockey Coaches Poll
The Bobcats have shut out every opponent thus far this season, while tallying a whopping 47 goals.

With no clear-cut favorite emerging among the top teams in Connecticut, Greenwich came out on top of the most recent weekly field hockey coaches poll.
Eight coaches voted in the poll, with no school receiving more than two first-place votes.
South Windsor (6-0-1) did not crack the top 10, but received some support from voters. The Bobcats have shut out every opponent thus far this season, while finding the cage a whopping 47 times.

Here are the top 10 plus all other vote-getters, with records through Wednesday, Sept. 27:
- Greenwich (6-1)
- Daniel Hand (5-0-1)
- Glastonbury (6-0)
- Darien (7-0-1)
- Norwalk (6-0)
- Enfield (5-0)
- New Fairfield (5-1)
7. Granby Memorial (5-0)
9. Pomperaug (5-0-2)
10. Cheshire (5-0-0-1)
Others receiving votes: North Branford (8-0-1), Avon (4-0-0-1), Immaculate (5-0-1), Staples (5-1), South Windsor (6-0-1), Branford (3-1-0-1).
