South Windsor Seeks to End 25-Year Baseball Drought

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The last time South Windsor High School won a state baseball championship, Bill Clinton was the newly-sworn in U.S. president, a gallon of gasoline cost $1.16 and NYPD Blue debuted on ABC.

The Bobcats seek to win it all for the first time since 1993, as pairings were announced Friday. South Windsor, the No. 2 seed in Class LL, hosts the winner of the Farmington/Stamford qualifying game Tuesday.

Top seeds in the four divisions are Fairfield Prep (LL), Windsor (L), Haddam-Killingworth (M) and Shepaug Valley (S).
