South Windsor Skaters Advance to State Semifinals
The Bobcats upset top-seeded East Haven to earn a berth in the Division II Final Four at Yale University.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — South Windsor made an early power play goal stand up, while its defense and goaltending kept the normally high-powered offense of East Haven off the scoreboard en route to a 1-0 victory in the quarterfinals of the Division II state ice hockey tournament at the Northford Ice Pavilion.
Top-seeded East Haven, the only Division II team to be ranked in the state's top 10 this season, entered the game averaging more than six goals per contest, but for the first and only time all year, failed to light the lamp.
John Russo scored the only goal the Bobcats would need early in the first period, while at the other end of the rink, goaltender Maxim Caouette recorded 30 saves.
