South Windsor Students Among 2,500 National Merit Scholarship Recipients for 2016
A pair of students from South Windsor High School are among 2,500 students to win the prestigious scholarship.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - Prathamesh S. Bang and Angela S. Luo of South Windsor High School are among 2,500 students to win the prestigious 2016 National Merit Scholarship.
Bang plans on studying computer science in college, while Luo will pursue a degree in business. Each will receive $2,500.
The students were chosen from a pool of 15,000 finalists.

Winners were judged on their academic records, level of the advanced classes they took, standardized test scores and community involvement. Applicants were required to write an essay according to the National Merit Scholarship's website. Winners were selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors.
