South Windsor Swimmer in Top 10 at State Open
An outstanding performance was turned in by a Bobcat swimmer at Saturday's State Open meet at Yale University.
NEW HAVEN, CT — For the third straight year, and 18th time overall, Greenwich High School captured the CIAC girls swimming State Open championship in convincing fashion Saturday at the Yale University pool.
Cardinals captured four of the 12 individual events to amass 633.5 points, easily outdistancing runner-up Cheshire, which had 477. Staples was third with 344.
Three new state records (SR) were set at the meet, all by Greenwich athletes. Two swimmers placed first in two different events.
