South Windsor Vaults Near Top of Baseball Poll

The Bobcats have won eight straight games and 11 of their first 12.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Amity Regional High School was again a unanimous choice as the state's scholastic baseball team during the most recent weekly balloting, as compiled by GameTimeCT.com.

The Spartans topped the ballots from all 10 voters, who submitted their picks prior to Monday's games (Amity suffered its first loss of the season after the votes had been tabulated).

South Windsor (11-1) jumped from sixth to second; two weeks ago, the Bobcats did not receive a single vote, but eight straight victories have propelled them to the runnerup spot.
