South Windsor Voters Endorse New Pleasant Valley School

Voters gave an endorsement to a plan to build a new Pleasant Valley School in South Windsor.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Voters at a Tuesday referendum delivered a ringing endorsement to a plan to build a new Pleasant Valley School.

The tally was:

  • 3714 yes
  • 481 no

The price tag is estimated at $58.5 million and that includes planning, design, implmentation, construction, equipment and furnishings, according to a project outline.

The estimated reimbursement from the state is $21 million.

The vote approved bonding for the project.

The new school is slated for a plot adjacent to the existing school, which is located at 591 Ellington Ave.
