Stolen Car Suspects Being Sought In South Windsor

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Two suspects in a South Windsor stolen car case managed to elude authorities and police are still searching for them.

Police said that, during the early morning hours on Tuesday, a vehicle was stolen from the area of Avery Street.

A short time later, officers saw two people running from a parked vehicle in the area of Chase Farm Road and Niederwerfer Road, according to a report. A member of the SWPD Aerial Support Team used a drone and a canine team from the East Windsor Police Department was called in assist in tracking the pair.

They were not located.

Police said they believe the parked vehicle is connected to the pair and it was confiscated as evidence, according to a report. The case is still under investigation, police said.

During the early morning hours on Wednesday, several car burglaries were reported in the Quarry Brook Drive neighborhood, police said.

Police were also reminding residents to keep their vehice doors locked.
