Storm Delays South Windsor Refuse and Recycling Collection
Public Works Department adjusts collection schedule.

Due to the forecast of a winter storm for Tuesday, January 27th and Wednesday, January 28, 2015, there will be NO COLLECTION of refuse and recyclables on these days. These services will commence onThursday, January 29, 2015 and continue throughout the rest of the week according to the following schedule.
Tuesday – Wednesday collections are rescheduled to Thursday

Thursday - Friday collections are rescheduled to Saturday

The scrap metal collection will be on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.
We remind residents that the refuse and recycling containers must be placed at the curb no more than three feet from the curb or edge of the road for collection. Please DO NOT place containers in the streets. Placing the containers on the streets narrows the roads for traffic flow which may lead to having it damaged from autos or during snow removal.
