Suspect Charged for South Windsor Camper Arson
A warrant was served on Wednesday in the case of a camper arson, police said.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Manchester Man has been arrested for a camper fire set in the middle of camping season, police said.
On Wednesday, South Windsor officers took into custody Pierce Holcomb, 53, of 537 Adams St., Manchester, on an outstanding warrant, police said.
He was charged with third-degree arson, third-degree burglary and first-degree criminal trespass, police said. He was later released on a $75,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 12, police said.

Holcomb’s charges stem from an August arson investigation, police said.
That day, officers were dispatched to a camper fire on Foster Road.

Neighbors reported seeing a vehicle leave the scene at about the time the fire began and the owner suspected that Holcomb, an acquaintance, was the person in the fleeing vehicle and the one who started the fire, police said.
A warrant was applied for after a subsequent investigation, police said.
