Suspected Drunken Driver Hits South Windsor Police Cruiser

A South Windsor police cruiser was hit on Saturday.

SOUTH WINDSOR — A suspected drunken driver slammed into a South Windsor police cruiser on Saturday as officers were investigating another accident, a report indicates.

The incident took place just after midnight on Saturday on Route 5, according to a report.

Officers were pulled over near the Chapel Road intersection, according to a report.

After the vehicle hit the cruiser, officers suspected the driver was under the influence of alcohol and administered field sobriety tests, which she failed, according to a report.

Jagdeep Sibia, 32, of Front St., Hartford, was charged with driving under the influence, and failure to drive in the proper lane, according to a report. She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 18, police said.
