Suspects Had Kids, Pit Bulls in Car During Drug Deal: Police
South Windsor police arrested two men and seized 100 bags of heroin in an undercover operation.
The South Windsor Police Department, along with members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force, conducted an undercover buy/bust operation Thursday night that resulted in the arrest of two men and the seizure of 100 bags of heroin.
Arian Serrano, 27, of East Hartford, and Ferdinand Robles, 28, of Hartford, were arrested in the undercover operation. Serrano and Robles also had two 4-year-old children and two pit bulls in the car during the transaction, Sgt. Matthew Pace, Supervisor of the East Central Narcotics Task Force, said in a press release.
Acting on an active arrest warrant for Serrano, who goes by the name of “Ace”, undercover officers conducted the operation in the area of 976 Sullivan Avenue in South Windsor.

Pace said the task force held an active arrest warrant for Serrano for sale and possession of heroin from a previous operation where Serrano had sold heroin to an undercover officer in South Windsor. Serrano is currently on probation for narcotics violations.
Serrano agreed to meet at 976 Sullivan Avenue to sell 50 bags of heroin, according to Pace.

On arrival, Sullivan and his passenger, Robles, were taken into custody. Along with the 50 bags of heroin seized as part of an undercover purchase, task force members seized an additional 50 bags of heroin that was in the vehicle packaged for sale.
Serrano was charged with sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was held on a $350,000 bond.
Robles was arrested on charges of sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was held on a $100,000 bond.
