SWPD: Expected Police Presence Is Just A Drill

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Local police are giving residents a heads up that an expected police presence in town Wednesday evening is a training exercise and nothing to be worried about.

The South Windsor Police Department Tuesday morning issued a bulletin stating the Connecticut State Police Canine Unit will be having a training exercise in town Wednesday evening.

The training will feature a lab/bloodhound tracking class.

"If you observe a large police presence, that is likely the reason why," said the SWPD public information office in a Tweet Tuesday morning.
