SW's Castellone on D-II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
South Windsor's Tyler Castellone swims for Southern Connecticut State University.
NEW HAVEN, CT — Junior Tyler Castellone of South Windsor and the Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming and diving team have been selected to attend the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Super Regional convention.
The event, runs from Nov. 17 to 19 at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel in Maryland.
The NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Super Region Convention is intended to bolster student-athlete participation in the Division II governance structure and foster communication among SAACs at the campus, conference and national levels. The super region convention, which is part of the division's Foundation for the Future initiative, will debut this month and will be held in different super regions of the country for the next four years.

Castellone, a team captain for the Owls this year, is a co-president of the Owls' SAAC and has also been involved with his team's outreach efforts as well. He was also the 2017 NE10 champion in the 200 freestyle relay and the runner-up in the 100 backstroke.
