Grand Opening festivities are scheduled at TCBY Wintonbury Mall in Bloomfield June 15-16, when patrons will receive the first 3 ounces of frozen yogurt free. TCBY – which stand for The Country’s Best Yogurt – has a self-serve, weigh and pay concept. When a customer comes into the store, they are given a cup to fill with yogurt themselves from five soft-serve machines. Each machine has three flavors each, the middle one being a swirl of the other two. Customers can also choose from an extensive 14-foot toppings bar with 45 hot, cold and dry items – from healthy choices like fresh fruit and nuts to the more decadent brownie bites and cookie dough. Most TCBY yogurt flavors are 98 percent fat-free. There are also non-fat and sugar-free yogurt choices and dairy-free sorbet. Everything is certified kosher. The store also offers yogurt cakes and pies that can be custom decorated for special occasions. In addition, catering services are available for events both indoors and out. The proprietors of TCBY Wintonbury Mall are Mark and Lisa Arnold of Simsbury, who also own TCBY Avon Marketplace in Simsbury and TCBY Eric Town Square, Glastonbury. The couple plans to be involved in the Bloomfield community, as they have been in the Farmington Valley and Glastonbury. They have hosted fundraisers for causes such as the MDA, Crohn’s disease and Sandy Hook Promise, and helped local schools and libraries promote reading by offering yogurt coupons to students who meet the challenge. TCBY Wintonbury Mall is located at 836 Park Ave., 1B, Bloomfield. To learn more visit www.TCBY.com/wintonburymall.
