Torn Off Car Door Handle Leads To Lockup Visit In South Windsor
A Hartford man is facing charges related to a death threat and violent act in South Windsor, police said.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A 39-year-old Hartford man is facing two sets of charges related to a pair of violent incidents in South Windsor, police said.
South Windsor police Tuesday arrested Rafael Aquino-Almonte on two active warrants. The first charged him with criminal attempt at first-degree larceny and second-degree threatening and stemmed from an incident in April 2023 when Aquino-Almonte threatened to kill a man and a woman if they did not give him money, police said.
The second warrant is related to a September 2022 incident during which Aquino-Almonte ripped a door handle off someone's car and threw it at the person, police said. For that, he is charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, both in the second degree, police said.
