Truck Fire Causes Delays In South Windsor

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Firefighters responded Wednesday to a truck fire at a South Windsor scrap metal business, police said.
The fire was reported at 444 Nutmeg Road North, near the intersection with Governor’s Highway, according to the South Windsor Police Department.

Police said the South Windsor Fire Department was working the scene and that no injuries were reported. Drivers were told to expect delays while the scene was cleaned up.

The address is listed as G&S Scrap Metal, a scrap metal buyer and recycler located at 444 Nutmeg Road North. According to the business website, G&S Scrap Metal has been in operation since 1983.
