Two South Windsor Projects To Affect Traffic
Two upcoming projects will affect traffic patterns in town.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police issued two traffic advisories for upcoming projects that will impact traffic flow in town soon.

Traffic Advisory- Sullivan Avenue :
Beginning August 15th, The Town of South Windsor Water Pollution Control Department will be undertaking a project to increase the flow capacity of the sanitary sewer on Sullivan Avenue between Hillside Drive and Troy Road. The project is anticipated to last through November. The work will be taking place on the north side of Sullivan Avenue. Traffic will be subject to one way alternating patterns, which may result in significant delays at times. The public is asked to seek alternate routes during the construction of the sewer line. All business accesses will be open for the duration of the project. For more information, you may contact the Pollution Control Department at (860) 644-2511 x247.
Traffic Advisory- Ellington Road (Route 30):
Ellington Road is a State Route and the Department of Transportation will begin milling and repaving Ellington Rd. (Route 30) August 20th. The resurfacing of Route 30 will begin at Sullivan Avenue and continue to Route 5 (John Fitch Blvd.) This project will run through September and will also result in alternating one-way traffic.
