Unbeaten South Windsor Gets Votes in Football Poll

The Bobcats won their first four contests by nearly doubling their opponents' point total.

Darien was once again a unanimous choice as the top high school football team in Connecticut in the most recent weekly poll of sports media members.

The Blue Wave (4-0) received the top vote on all 24 ballots submitted. Darien has overwhelmed opponents by a cumulative 180-29 score thus far this season.

South Windsor (4-0) did not make the top 10, but received considerable support from voters in the most recent balloting.

Here are the top 10, plus all other schools receiving votes, with records through Oct. 4.

  4. West Haven (4-0)

  7. St. Joseph (2-1)
  8. Masuk (3-0)

  10. Middletown (4-0)
