SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - A chip sealing resurfacing project will begin Thursday and continue until Aug. 31, disrupting local traffic. All roads will remain open to traffic with at least one lane open during the road work. The town said in a statement that drivers should expect minor delays.
The following roads or sections of roads are scheduled for this pavement surface treatment: Felt Road (All), Demming Street (All), Clark Street sections (Demming to Ellington), Long Hill Road (All), Main St. (Governors Highway to East Hartford Town Line), Foster Road (All), and Burgess Road (All).
This project will be performed during fair weather only. If rain occurs the chip seal work will be delayed. Street sweeping and line painting will follow two weeks after chip sealing is complete.
