Weekend Emergency Utility Work Could be Loud In South Windsor

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Emergency Utility Work over the weekend may be a bit loud in South Windsor, town officials warned Friday.

Eversource will be performing "warranty repairs" on a transformer at the Barber Hill Substation, officials said. Work is slated to take place around the clock starting Saturday and ending Monday evening, officials said.

The work requires the use of a generator that will be running the entire time but the crew has concealed it "as best as possible for noise prevention," officials said.
