Windsor Locks Woman Charged in Hit-and-Run Accident in South Windsor

A Windsor Locks woman was recently charged in a hit-and-run accident in South Windsor.

South Windsor police received a complaint at about 8 p.m. on April 9 from a motorist who said a vehicle had hit his car and continued driving south on John Fitch Blvd.

East Hartford police stopped and detained the operator of the evading vehicle, according to police.

Joan Drown, 47, of 176 Grove St. in Windsor Locks, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under suspension, evading responsibility and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

Drown was later released on a non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on April 20.
