Winner Declared In 3rd Senate District Special Election

A winner was declared following Tuesday's vote.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - South Windsor Democrat, Mayor M. Saud Anwar won the special election for the 3rd Senate District seat, the Journal-Inquirer reported. Anwar defeated Sarah Muska of East Windsor, taking 58.5 percent of the vote.

The special election was held following Timothy Larson's decision to take a position in Gov. Ned Lamont's administration.
