UPDATE: Downed Trees, Wires Reported in South Windsor
The National Weather Service upgraded the area to a Winter Storm Warning and South Windsor Police update on the trees, wires that are down.

Update from South Windsor Police:
The roads are OK but we are now beginning to get some Hazardous Condition issues now, likely due to the weight of this snow and some wind:
- Small tree was in the road at 980 Pleasant Valley Road- cleared
- Tree down across the road at Main St. at Vibert Road
- Low hanging wires at 98 Edgewood Drive
- Low hanging cable wire at 659 Main street
- Tree down at Abbe Road at Wood Pond Road
- Wire down near 60 Nevers Road
- Wires across the road on Strong Road near Route 5
“It’s not quite as bad as October 2011, but this is just a reminder for all, stay away from any wire down until it’s made safe, notify the local police department if any hazards are encountered,” Deputy Chief Scott Custer said.
