Woman Accused of Embezzling From South Windsor Salon
She is accused of failing to deposit more than $11,000 in a five-month period, according to police.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A former manager of a South Windsor salon was arrested Tuesday on a warrant, accusing her of embezzling more than $11,000 from the business over a five-month period in 2019.
Jessica McCann, 43, of Meriden, was charged with second-degree larceny in connection with the thefts, stemming from an investigation which started in July 2019. McCann, the former manager at the European Wax Center at 70 Buckland Road, was suspected of stealing money from the business by not depositing a significant amount of cash transactions into the company's People's United Bank account, police said.
In total, $11,614.62 out of $21,817.45 was not deposited by McCann between January and June 2019. McCann was the sole person at the business responsible for handling the cash to bank transfers, and was inconsistent in her story during a police interview, police said.
