Woman Charged With DUI in South Windsor Was 4 Times the Legal Limit, Cops Say

Police say the East Hartford woman's blood alcohol level was four times the legal limit.

South Windsor police say Rebecca Chambers, 35, of Cipolla Drive in East Hartford, is accused of driving while her blood alcohol level was four times the legal limit.

Police said on Tuesday at about midnight a South Windsor police officer stopped a vehicle on Avery Street for a violation.

The officer suspected that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Following a series of roadside sobriety tests officers arrested Chambers. The results of the breath tests showed her blood alcohol limit was .32, four times the legal limit, police said.

She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and was later released on a $500 bond. Chambers is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on December 8.
