Woman Charged With Forging Checks from South Windsor Employer

She is accused of writing checks to herself totaling more than $7,000.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Coventry woman was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging her with forging 10 checks from her employer, totaling over $7,000.

Lynn Raymer, 61, was charged with 10 counts of second-degree forgery. She was released on $50,000 surety bond.

Raymer’s charges stem from a March 2017 complaint by a South Windsor business that an employee had been writing checks to herself and forging the owner’s signature. The investigating officer learned that 10 checks had been forged over the course of a year, totaling $7,147.28, Deputy Chief Scott Custer said.
