1 Hurt In Late-Night Crash In Willington

WILLINGTON, CT — A crash created a tense situation in Willington late Wednesday night.

The crash took place at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, along the 300 block of Moose Meadow Road , fire officials said.

When emergency crews were en route to the scene, they were informed that multiple people were trapped in the vehicle. Additional ambulances from Ashford and UConn, as well as a Windham Hospital and AMR Paramedics were thus dispatched to the scene.

All the occupants, however, were able to escape the vehicle, fire officials said.

One person was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The scene was cleared by 2 a.m., fire officials said.
