19-Year-Old Charged With Drunken Driving After Stafford Roundabout Crash

STAFFORD, CT — A 19-year-old who was later determined to be drunk crashed into another vehicle during a tailgating incident at a roundabout in Stafford, state police said.

The incident took place at 1:04 p.m. on Jan. 6, state police said.

According to a crash report, the teen, who was eventually charged with driving under the influence while underage and following too closely, was heading east at the Route 319 roundabout intersection in a 2008 Honda Accord. The Accord then hit a 2018 Toyota C-hr, according to a crash report.
