20-Year-Old Dies In Stafford Drowning Incident: State Police
A Stafford drowning incident has claimed the life of a Somers resident, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — A drowning incident Thursday in Stafford claimed the life of a Somers resident, state police said.
State police said they received a call at the Troop C barracks at 3:08 p.m. reporting a possible drowning in the area of 21 Lyons Road in Stafford.
A 911 caller reported that an "adult male" had gone into a swimming area and had not resurfaced, state police said.

State police and Stafford constables, along with the Stafford Fire Department, searched the area and located the body of the man, according to an incident report.
The drowning victim has been identified as Alaine Nitch-Ball, 20, a resident of Somers, state police said.
