5-Mile Police Chase Ends With Charges Against Stafford Man
A Stafford man is facing four criminal charges after leading state police on a chase of more than 5-miles last week.

STAFFORD, CT — A Stafford man is facing four criminal charges after leading state police on a chase of more than 5-miles last week.
John Wilson, 29, was charged with reckless driving, disobeying the signal of an officer, engaging police in a pursuit and unsafe passing, according to an arrest warrant.
At 6:58 p.m. on Aug. 21, state police were on a traffic detail along Route 32 in Stafford when they saw a Honda Accord go by "well above the posted speed limit, according to a report. The reckless driving charge reflect speeds of greater than 85 mph.

A trooper attempted to pull the car over, but Wilson sped away and passed two pother vehicles in a no passing zone, according to a report. The pursuit lasted until the Exit 69 interchange on the westbound side of Interstate-84, a distance of 5.5 miles, according to a report.
